A looming tower, the ominous ring of the bell within, the ringing silence that follows - these elements are what inspired “Clocktower Overture”. Written for the Bryson Middle School 7th and 8th Grade Combined Band (Simpsonville, SC, USA) this piece makes for a fairly simple but effective opening for any concert. In a short two minute runtime it manages to go from barren and soft, to loud and dramatic, and back again.
